A Reno man was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with parole eligibility after 30 months, for participating in organized retail thefts that cost local businesses thousands of dollars, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.
Emilrussel Pascual, 36, was identified through the District Attorney’s Retail Theft Initiative and the Northern Nevada Organized Retail Crime Association (NNORCA) as being involved in multiple thefts across the region. Authorities stated Pascual began targeting local stores in 2025, stealing high-value merchandise including glasses, boots, and shoes.
During two incidents at Summit Mall, Pascual stole more than $3,000 worth of glasses. He also stole nearly $2,500 in boots from Boot Barn on separate occasions.
In three months, Pascual took over $5,000 in merchandise from two Ulta stores, and he stole more than $2,000 worth of shoes from Nordstrom Rack on five separate occasions.
In August 2025, Nordstrom Rack Loss Prevention staff notified Reno police after catching Pascual in the act, leading to his arrest and the connection to earlier thefts.
