Three People Arrested in Storey County with Stolen Car

Three Stockton residents are facing multiple charges after authorities say they were stopped in a stolen vehicle on USA Parkway late Monday morning.

According to the Storey County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were alerted to a stolen car traveling on USA Parkway and conducted a traffic stop just after 10:45 a.m.

During the investigation, deputies learned the passenger had brought the vehicle to the driver’s home with plans to take a scenic road trip. The driver agreed, and the pair later picked up a third person, a woman, before heading out.

While speaking with deputies, the trio reportedly claimed they did not know the vehicle was stolen. Two of them told law enforcement the car had been loaned to them by a friend.

Deputies then contacted the vehicle’s registered owner, who told authorities he did not know any of the three individuals.

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a large amount of marijuana, a Schedule I or II controlled substance in an amount less than 14 grams, drug paraphernalia, and burglary tools, according to the sheriff’s office.

The three were arrested and booked into the Storey County Detention Facility.

Thomas Clark III, 60, was booked on suspicion of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance less than 14 grams (first offense), possession of marijuana or cannabis between 1 and 20 pounds, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, and driving without a valid driver’s license.

Randall Berger, 64, faces charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance less than 14 grams (first offense), possession of marijuana or cannabis between 1 and 20 pounds, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rehnee Briggs, 40, was booked on suspicion of possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance less than 14 grams (first offense), possession of marijuana or cannabis between 1 and 20 pounds, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
