Nevada State Police (NSP) have released the name of a driver who was killed in a crash late last month in Humboldt County.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Jan. 31 along Interstate 80 near mile marker 21, about five miles east of Winnemucca. Troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 7:44 p.m.
According to investigators, a white Toyota Sienna was traveling eastbound in the left lane when the driver failed to maintain his travel lane. The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, entered the median, and overturned.
The driver, identified as 49-year-old Jason Lee McMahon of Saginaw, Michigan, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The NSP says the crash remains under investigation.
