The Nevada State Police is looking to locate a blue semi-truck believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning on westbound Interstate 80 in Sparks.
The crash occurred around 5:10 a.m. on Jan. 24 in the westbound lane of I-80 just east of Vista Boulevard. A preliminary investigation indicates that an adult man was riding a bicycle on the interstate when a vehicle struck him.
Medical personnel pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene. His identity remains unreleased, as the next of kin needs notification.
Investigators are attempting to locate a blue Kenworth semi-truck, displaying a unit number “122” in white lettering with damage to its right front.
