Sparks police joined forces with Target and TJ Maxx this week in a targeted retail theft operation, resulting in three arrests and the recovery of hundreds of dollars of stolen merchandise.
The Sparks Police Department’s FUSE (Follow Up and Special Enforcement) Team coordinated the controlled operation with the two major retailers. Officers arrested three individuals during the sting.
Police said charges included burglary, petit larceny, obtaining money under false pretenses, and obstructing law enforcement. The obstructing charge stemmed from a foot pursuit, during which the Sparks Police credited their Falcon Team, the department’s drone unit, for assisting in tracking the suspect.
Authorities recovered approximately $460 worth of stolen merchandise during the operation.
