Authorities have identified the driver who died in a crash on U.S. Alt. 95 in Yerington last month.
The Nevada Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred just south of mile marker 15 at approximately 9:30 a.m. on March 20.
According to NHP, a 2003 Subaru Outback, traveling north, attempted to pass another vehicle and steered into the southbound lane. The Subaru collided with a southbound 2020 Chevrolet 2550 pickup. The impact sent the truck across the northbound lane, where it came to rest partially on the dirt shoulder, while the Chevrolet also crossed the south lane and ended on the gravel shoulder.
The Subaru driver, 63-year-old Michael Nettles of Yerington, was pronounced dead at the scene.
