UNR Faculty Vote ‘No Confidence’ in Easton-Brooks

Faculty in the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Education and Human Development have overwhelmingly expressed no confidence in Dean Donald Easton-Brooks, following allegations of bullying and unprofessional conduct.

According to the results, 85.5% of participating faculty voted that they do not have confidence in Easton-Brooks’ leadership. Just 9% said they have confidence, while 5.5% abstained. A total of 90 academic and administrative faculty members participated in the vote.

The vote comes amid growing concerns from faculty about a hostile work environment, including allegations of bullying, intimidation, and retaliatory behavior. Faculty members had called for the vote as pressure mounted on university leadership to respond.

In response, UNR officials described the matter as a personnel issue. It is not yet clear what action UNR administrators will take in response to the vote.
