Man Found Guilty in Sparks Attempted Murder Spree

A jury has convicted 20-year-old Frank Hewitt on multiple charges stemming from a 2023 shooting at the Zephyr Pointe Apartments.

On Monday night, the jury returned guilty verdicts on seven counts of attempted murder, five counts of battery with a deadly weapon, two counts of child abuse with a deadly weapon, and additional charges, according to court records.

Hewitt has been in custody since December 2024. He was charged not only in the Zephyr Pointe shooting but also in a separate June 2024 shooting at the Sparks Marina, for which he still faces pending charges.

Sentencing for Hewitt is April 23.
