Investigation Involving Judge Remains Ongoing

The Reno Police Department said that its investigation involving Washoe County Judge Bridget Robb remains active, with detectives continuing to evaluate evidence and complete required procedural steps.

Police also clarified the legal standard governing such statements under Nevada law, noting that an admission alone is not sufficient for criminal proceedings.

The statement follows heightened public scrutiny surrounding Robb after her removal from all active cases and her announcement of her retirement. The actions follow the issuance of a temporary protective order related to a stalking case.

Court records show the protective order was granted in mid-January after a local attorney alleged repeated unwanted contact. As part of the investigation, police conducted surveillance in late 2025 and interviewed Robb at her residence on January 7.

The circumstances surrounding the interview and Robb’s statements remain under review as investigators continue to assess information as it becomes available. Separately, the court system has initiated an administrative review, and the Nevada State Bar has confirmed it is also investigating Robb’s actions.
