Firefighters responded quickly early Saturday morning after two U-Haul cargo trucks caught fire in Sun Valley, according to Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue (TMFR).
Crews arrived on scene to find both trucks fully engulfed in flames. Fire officials said the intense heat from the burning vehicles had already begun causing damage to a third U-Haul truck parked nearby. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control, preventing further spread and limiting additional damage.
After knocking down the flames, TMFR crews remained at the scene to extinguish hot spots and ensure the area was safe. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Authorities have not indicated whether the incident is considered suspicious.
