Reno, Nev. — Two men convicted in a deadly shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort are going to prison.
Colton Fagundes and Seth Hegene were each sentenced this week for their roles in a January 2024 shooting inside the Reno hotel and casino that left one man dead and triggered a massive police response.
Prosecutors said the incident began as a confrontation and escalated into gunfire inside the resort. Security personnel later found 32-year-old Conor Housden inside a room suffering from four gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following their convictions, a judge sentenced both Fagundes and Hegene to 10 to 25 years in prison on the murder charge. Each also received a consecutive sentence of 5 to 15 years for a deadly weapon enhancement, to be served in addition to the murder sentence.
In total, both defendants face 15 to 40 years in prison.
