Sparks, Nev. — A Sparks man has been convicted of stalking, constituting domestic violence, following a series of messages and repeated visits that began with a woman’s call to 9-1-1, city officials said.

The Sparks City Attorney’s Office announced that prosecutors secured a conviction against Danny Robello on a first-offense stalking charge. The case stemmed from a Dec. 4 incident in which the woman reported to 9-1-1 that her ex-boyfriend was outside her home.

By the time Sparks police arrived, the man had left the area.

The woman stated she and Robello had dated for about two years before separating in November 2025. In the days leading up to the 9-1-1 call, she reported that Robello repeatedly contacted her through multiple social media platforms and showed up at her residence several times despite her requests for no further contact.

Investigators reviewed more than 500 messages sent via Snapchat and approximately 150 messages on Facebook. Authorities said the messages included threats to come to the woman’s home and damage property.

The woman responded only to state that she wanted no further communication. Robello was later arrested on the stalking charge, along with additional charges filed in Sparks Justice Court.

Robello received a suspended sentence of 180 days in the Washoe County Jail. As part of his sentence, he must obey all laws, have no contact with the victim, and comply with the Sparks Municipal Court compliance program.
