Carson City, Nev. — Nevada’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell slightly to 5.2 percent in November 2025, down 0.1 percentage points from September, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation’s latest economic report. During the same period, the state’s labor force grew by 9,985 workers.
State officials noted that comparisons are made against September data because the Local Area Unemployment Statistics program did not release seasonally adjusted figures for October.
Nevada recorded a total of 1,574,700 nonfarm jobs in November, reflecting a 0.1 percent increase over the past year. While the state lost 3,800 jobs from September to October, it regained 2,700 jobs from October to November, resulting in a net loss of 1,100 jobs, or 0.1 percent, over the period.
Employment trends varied across the state’s metropolitan areas. Carson City lost 100 jobs since October, but gained 100 jobs compared to November 2024. Reno added 500 jobs over the month and 800 jobs over the year. Las Vegas experienced a decline of 900 jobs since October and was down 2,900 jobs compared to the same time last year.
Construction employment fell 7.3 percent over the year, while finance and insurance jobs declined by 5 percent. At the same time, wage growth continued, with the fastest gains occurring in industries experiencing job losses.
