Bicyclist Seriously Injured

RENO, Nev. — A bicyclist received life-threatening injuries following a collision with a vehicle in Reno late Saturday morning, police said.

The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. on Jan. 3 near the intersection of California Avenue and Flint Street. Officers with the Reno Police Department, along with crews from the Reno Fire Department and REMSA, responded to a report of a vehicle-versus-bicycle collision.

The bicyclist was treated at the scene and then transported to the hospital. Police have not released the person’s identity or provided an update on their condition.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating. Speed and impairment are not factors at this time.
