Fire Contained, No Injuries Reported

SUN VALLEY, Nev. — Firefighters with Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue quickly contained a garage fire Tuesday evening in Sun Valley, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes.

Crews responded to a residence on Smokey Canyon Drive around 7:30 p.m. and were able to confine the flames to the garage, fire officials said. The rapid response limited damage and kept the incident from escalating.

TMFR officials determined the fire was electrical in nature.
