SUN VALLEY, Nev. (Dec. 15, 2025) — A portion of Klondike Drive near East 8th Avenue in Sun Valley has been temporarily closed as authorities conduct a death investigation, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the incident occurred Monday along Klondike Drive between East 8th Avenue and Morgan Circle. Authorities went to the area just before 10 a.m., where they found an unresponsive person. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking members of the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes while investigators work to safely and efficiently process the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist authorities is encouraged to call or text an anonymous tip to Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
