A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday on felony warrants alleging sexual assault of a child under 14 and child abuse or neglect, according to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the suspect’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Deputies were dispatched around 11:32 a.m. to South Roop Street for a warrant service after dispatch confirmed two felony warrants had been issued out of Carson City. Deputies were initially unable to locate the man at his residence, but later took him into custody at his workplace.
According to the booking report, the man stated he wished to speak with an attorney. Deputies stated no questioning took place at the scene, and he was advised he could contact counsel from jail.
