The USDA has designated Clark, Esmeralda, and Nye counties as natural disaster areas due to extreme drought conditions.
The declaration allows farmers and ranchers to access emergency loans through the Farm Service Agency to help cover recovery costs, including replacing essential items, reorganizing operations, and refinancing debts. Producers have until Dec. 7 to apply for relief.
