Carson City Woman Arrested for DUI

A 38-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of DUI and failure to yield at a controlled intersection.

Deputies observed her sedan driving westbound on West Robinson Street with the trunk bouncing unsecured and failing to stop properly at intersections on North Phillips Street and West Telegraph Street. During the traffic stop, the driver displayed red, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and signs of impairment during field sobriety tests.

A preliminary breath test showed results above the legal limit, and evidentiary tests later registered .170 and .154.
