A 60-year-old Carson City man, Robert Frach, was arrested Monday for battery on a protected person after allegedly punching and spitting on a firefighter assisting him into an ambulance.
Deputies were called to North Carson Street and College Parkway after Frach was stumbling into traffic. Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol and unstable footing, with a breath sample measuring .260.
When firefighters arrived to transport him to the hospital, Frach struck a firefighter in the stomach and spat on him. The firefighter pressed charges, leading to Frach’s arrest on the gross misdemeanor allegation.
