Man Arrested for Robbery at Reno Mall

Authorities arrested a man Thursday afternoon following an alleged robbery at the JCPenney store inside Meadowood Mall.

Officers responded to the store at approximately 3:30 p.m., where police say the suspect stole shoes and fled on foot. The suspect ran toward the Nevada Highway Patrol office, where officers located and detained him without further incident.

Officials report the suspect allegedly used a machete during the robbery and is now facing charges of robbery with a deadly weapon.
