Democrat Aaron Ford announced on Monday that his campaign raised nearly $1.5 million in the first three months of 2026 as he prepares to challenge Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo. The campaign described the total as a record for a non-incumbent candidate in Nevada.
Ford’s campaign reported contributions from roughly 13,000 individual donors, noting that about 90% of donations were $80 or less, highlighting what officials called “robust grassroots” support. The campaign also said it currently has nearly $2.7 million in cash on hand.
Lombardo’s campaign is expected to maintain a significant fundraising advantage, starting the year with roughly $15 million.
Meanwhile, Ford’s Democratic primary opponent, Washoe County Commissioner Alexis Hill, has not yet released first-quarter fundraising figures.
