Two RINOs Don’t Make It Right, and Three Is Worse

Commentary

James Settelmeyer should be effing ashamed of himself, or at least pretend to be, after swallowing the endorsement of Rep. Mark Amodei, a man whose entire career is a monument to anti-Trump cowardice.

Amodei didn’t just mumble polite criticisms; he cheered on Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment circus over the Ukraine hoax and had the unmitigated balls to blame President Trump for January 6th. And Settelmeyer, for reasons that defy decency, logic, or a basic sense of shame, is grinning like a schoolboy clutching a hall pass from the enemy.

Amodei is a disgrace to the Republican Party. He’s spent years pushing DEI programs that shove race and gender quotas down our throats, defending men in women’s sports, and cozying up to every radical left idea that pisses off actual Americans.

And here comes Settelmeyer, crawling up Amodei’s backside like some sycophantic little shit, proving beyond a shadow of doubt that his loyalty is not to Nevada, not to the Constitution, not even to common sense, but to whatever keeps him in office and collecting a paycheck.

Settelmeyer’s record is a goddamn horror show. He rammed through SB 267 with radical DEI quotas, created a woke “Office of New Americans” that prioritizes illegal immigrants over citizens, handed driver’s licenses to anyone who crossed the border, and expanded Red Flag gun confiscation laws. Every vote, every bill, every effing tweet screams that he is a willing accomplice in shredding the freedoms conservatives supposedly hold sacred.

And yet Nevada’s so-called Republican leadership smiles and claps like trained seals. Governor Joe Lombardo, who claims to champion conservative values, is now endorsing a man whose policies actively shit over the very voters he pretends to serve.

There is no shame, no accountability, no principle, just an endless parade of grins and backslaps while Nevadans get left holding the bag for their own betrayal. Settelmeyer is not good for Nevada. He is not good for America.

His embrace of Amodei’s treachery, combined with his own radical, freedom-destroying record, proves it. Nevada doesn’t need another RINO willing to sell the state’s principles for political cover.

Nevada needs a fighter. It needs a patriot.

Settelmeyer has made it abundantly clear he is neither.
