A new VA clinic in northeastern Nevada will officially open its doors this week in Elko.
The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, in partnership with the Elko VA Clinic, will host a grand opening ceremony from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on March 26 at the new facility located at 2767 Mountain City Highway.
The new clinic is nearly twice the size of the previous location, expanding from two exam rooms to six and adding two consultation rooms. It also features a new lab space and a tele-retinal unit aimed at increasing access to specialized care.
Following the ribbon cutting, veterans and community members are invited to tour the facility and meet with staff from both the Elko clinic and the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System.
The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System includes the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City and 10 community-based outpatient clinics across Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. The system serves more than 80,000 eligible veterans across approximately 125,000 square miles in the Intermountain West.
