A 10-year-old bicyclist had to go to the hospital on Wednesday morning after colliding with a car at the intersection of Corrigan Way and Moth Circle in the North Valleys, the Reno Police Department reported.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. Police said their investigation determined the child failed to stop at a stop sign, striking the side of the vehicle. Authorities noted the child was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police do not believe impairment or the driver’s speed were factors in the incident.
