With the 2026 midterm elections approaching and dozens of offices and statewide measures on the ballot, Nevada officials are emphasizing the importance of voter participation—particularly among young residents.
Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar stated Nevada ranks among the top five states in the nation for youth voter turnout, pointing to strong participation in the 2024 election as proof of the impact younger voters can have.
Aguilar said a key factor in maintaining that engagement is voter education.
As part of this effort, the Secretary of State’s office has launched a new website, Youth Vote Nevada, a central hub for information on voting and civic participation. The site also highlights hands-on learning opportunities designed to help young people better understand and engage in the election process.
