LCSO Adds New K9 Team

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has introduced a new K9 team following the completion of specialized training.

According to a social media announcement on Monday, Detective Nick Walker and K9 Kilo recently graduated from a six-week K9 handler and patrol certification course. The training covered obedience, tracking, suspect apprehension, and other law enforcement disciplines required for operational K9 teams.

Assigned to the agency’s Investigations Division within the Special Investigations Unit, Walker and Kilo will support ongoing investigations and assist patrol operations across Lyon County.
