A bicyclist is in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning in Sparks. The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on eastbound Prater Way just past the Interstate 80 junction.
Sparks Police responded to the scene and found the bicyclist injured, but the vehicle involved had already fled the area. Paramedics stabilized the victim at the scene before being transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Officers later located the suspected vehicle and arrested a person believed to be involved in the crash. The suspect is in the Washoe County Jail, suspected of impairment.
