Rosen Wants Refunds from Trump Tariffs

Nevada’s U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen has introduced legislation that would require the Trump administration to refund money collected under tariffs recently struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The proposed bill would mandate full refunds to importers, including small businesses, who paid fees associated with the tariffs. The move follows a Supreme Court ruling Friday that invalidated the tariffs in their previous form. In response, former President Donald Trump has since enacted a new 15% tariff.

Rosen is the second Nevada official to seek repayment tied to the tariff dispute. Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine recently called on the federal government to pay the state $2.1 billion over the tariffs.
