The Reno Police Department’s Traffic Division issued 100 citations and 24 warnings during pedestrian safety enforcement operations conducted throughout January.
Eight officers participated in the enforcement efforts, focusing on designated Pedestrian Safety Zones in downtown Reno as well as other areas known for high pedestrian traffic. Officers monitored driver and pedestrian compliance with traffic laws, including yielding requirements at crosswalks and safe crossing practices.
