Woman Arrested on Warrants after Traffic Stop

A Las Vegas woman was arrested Sunday afternoon following a traffic stop in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, according to the Storey County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the stop occurred at around 3:00 p.m. when a vehicle was traveling 70 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone. A deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as 28-year-old Serina Rodriguez.

During the investigation, deputies learned Rodriguez had a misdemeanor warrant in Sparks and a felony extraditable warrant from Maricopa County, Arizona. Authorities also determined that Rodriguez was operating a vehicle using a suspended driver’s license.

Rodriguez was issued a citation for speeding and arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license, along with the two outstanding warrants.
