Carson City, Nev. — A 23-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Monday night on multiple alleged misdemeanor offenses after a traffic stop led to a hold for violations of Department of Alternative Sentencing (DAS) conditions, according to a booking report.
At approximately 8 p.m., a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling northbound on Carson Street near Stewart Street when the deputy observed a vehicle with a cracked driver-side taillight emitting a white light. The deputy requested a records check, which revealed an expired registration.
The deputy made contact with the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. A subsequent records check revealed the driver was currently under the supervision of DAS and driving on a revoked driver’s license.
DAS advised deputies to place a hold on the man for violating the conditions of his sentencing. The man was arrested and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving with a revoked license, driving without an ignition interlock device, failure to provide proof of insurance, expired vehicle registration, and violation of Department of Alternative Sentencing conditions.
