SPARKS, Nev. — A wrong-way crash on Interstate 80 in late December claimed the life of a 27-year-old Reno man, according to the Nevada State Police.
The crash was reported just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 21 on westbound I-80 near Pyramid Highway in Sparks.
Investigators say a Toyota RAV4 was traveling eastbound in the far left lane of westbound I-80, driving the wrong way. At the same time, a semi was traveling westbound in that same lane when the two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the Toyota was Christian Lebow, 27, of Reno. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries, according to authorities. The crash remains under investigation by the Nevada State Police.
