Hit-and-Run Investigated

VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (Dec. 23, 2025) — The Storey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged hit-and-run crash that occurred on C Street in Virginia City.

A deputy was flagged down around 3:20 p.m. regarding the incident, according to a Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office. Investigators later identified the driver of a blue Dodge pickup and made contact with that individual.

The individual, a female, reportedly received minor injuries from the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released details on whether there was an arrest. However, the husband of the victim shared an update on social media, saying the suspect has been located and will face criminal charges.

According to his statement, the driver is facing revocation of their license, with the case sent to the district attorney’s office, where the matter will proceed through the court system.

The Sheriff’s Office has not independently confirmed those details. The investigation remains ongoing.
