RENO, Nev. (Dec. 16, 2025) — A man was arrested early Tuesday morning following a brief vehicle and foot chase in Reno, according to the Reno Police Department.
At about 1 a.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of South Virginia Street and McCarran Boulevard. Authorities say the driver, later identified as Victor Mendoza, fled the scene and crashed into another vehicle near the Meadowood Mall.
Mendoza then ran from the crash site but was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. He was facing multiple felony charges before the incident.
Officers reported that Mendoza had methamphetamine and fentanyl, and that he is an ex-felon found with a firearm. He was arrested and booked on eight new felony charges.
