Henderson Officer Injured in Crash

A Henderson motor officer was taken to a hospital following a crash Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Police said the collision involved an on-duty officer and is being investigated in coordination with the Nevada State Police.

According to NSP Trooper Shawn Haggstrom, the crash was reported around 7:48 a.m. on westbound Windmill Lane over the 215 Beltway. The vehicles involved were a Ford Edge SUV and a police motorcycle.

The 215 ramps at Windmill were closed as crews responded to the scene. No additional details, including the officer’s condition, have been released.
