Clark County School District police have confiscated 34 guns since the start of the academic year, including 23 brought by students, according to district data.
Officials say some recoveries stem from expanded safety measures, including gun-detecting K9s, random searches, and an AI weapons detection system deployed at certain high schools. Additional steps include increased officer presence, single-entry points, and campus fencing.
Authorities added that most weapons brought to school belong to parents.
