Ford Unveils “Affordable Nevada” Plan

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford is outlining his “Affordable Nevada” plan as the June 9 primary election approaches, with housing, health care, and energy as its central pillars.

Ford says his proposal focuses on lowering costs for Nevadans, including cracking down on corporate home purchases, eliminating so-called “junk” rental fees, capping prescription drug prices, and addressing medical debt. He also calls for expanded support for rural hospitals.

The race is shaping up as a crowded field, with Washoe County Commissioner Alexis Hill emerging as a leading Democratic challenger and requesting a public debate scheduled for May 14. Ford is also facing criticism in campaign ads from Gov. Joe Lombardo’s political action committee.

Multiple Republican, Democratic, and independent candidates are also running in the June primary.
