Driver Killed in Vegas Crash

A 23-year-old Las Vegas man died Wednesday night after a two-vehicle crash in the east Las Vegas valley, police said.

The collision was reported just before 10:30 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard south of Bonanza Road. Investigators believe the driver of a southbound Pontiac Grand Prix lost control at high speed, causing the car to spin into northbound lanes and strike a GMC Sierra on its passenger side.

The impact flipped the GMC onto its side. The Pontiac driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the GMC driver and a passenger were taken to UMC for treatment of injuries.
