A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, destruction of property, hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, and careless driving after crashing a vehicle into a convenience store on Fairview Drive.
The vehicle was swerving, striking a speed limit sign, and attempting to flee. Deputies located the running vehicle at Saliman and Como streets, where the woman displayed signs of impairment, including slurred speech and red, watery eyes.
She fell multiple times while exiting the vehicle and refused field sobriety tests. The Carson City Fire Department cleared her of injuries, and a blood test was later authorized.
