The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in the March 19 homicide as 27-year-old Daniel Ferguson, a Dayton resident.
Investigators have also arrested a suspect in connection with the case, though details about the individual or circumstances remain under investigation. Officials said the limited release of information is necessary to protect the integrity of the investigation and ensure a successful prosecution.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that the incident was not random and not connected to a home invasion, burglary, or robbery. Anyone with information should contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 577-5206.
