Woman Rescued from Truckee River

The Reno Fire Department responded to a water rescue in the Truckee River Saturday afternoon.

At 3:56 p.m., the department’s Water Entry Team went to the river, near Kuenzli Street. Reno Police assisted in the response.

Crews pulled the woman from the water just after 4 p.m., where she received medical attention at the scene for suspected hypothermia. After the rescue, the Reno Police took the woman into custody.

Authorities have not provided details about the charges she may be facing.
