Eureka Club Owner Arrested Following Drug Investigation

The owner of an Eureka bar and restaurant is in custody following a yearlong investigation into alleged drug activity at the Owl Club, authorities said.

The Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force, in coordination with the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office, had been investigating suspected drug activity at the business over the past year. During the investigation, authorities conducted two successful undercover drug purchases at the location.

On Feb. 26, deputies, detectives, and officers from the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office, Elko County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada State Police, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department served a search warrant at the Owl Club and an attached residence.

During the search, investigators reported finding firearms, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia on the property.

Owl Club owner Eleny Mentaberry was arrested and booked on two counts of possession of methamphetamine for sale, two counts of an unauthorized act with methamphetamine, and one count of maintaining a building or structure for the purpose of keeping or selling methamphetamine.

The Eureka County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are pending.
