A Reno man has been arrested following a deadly stabbing late Friday night at an apartment complex in Sun Valley, according to the Sparks Police Department.
Officers were called to the Boulder Creek Apartments on Moorpark Court just before 11 p.m. on a report of a battery with a deadly weapon.
When police arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. The victim went to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Following an investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 33-year-old Scott Sorrell of Reno. Officers took him into custody, booking him into the Washoe County Jail on a charge of open murder with the use of a deadly weapon.
The identity of the victim remains unknown pending notification of next of kin.
