The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying additional potential victims following the arrest of a Las Vegas High School teacher on sexual assault charges.
According to LVMPD, 36-year-old Jordan Bushey was arrested Feb. 23 in connection with multiple alleged sexual assault crimes. Police say Bushey engaged in sexual acts with a pupil and is facing six counts related to those allegations. He also faces one count of unlawful communication between a person in a position of authority and a pupil.
Detectives with LVMPD’s Sexual Assault Detail believe there may be additional victims due to Bushey’s role as a teacher and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Las Vegas High School Principal Raymond Ortiz notified parents of the arrest in a written message.
“The safety of our students is the number one priority at Las Vegas High School,” Ortiz wrote.
Anyone with information regarding additional potential victims should contact LVMPD’s Sexual Assault Detail at (702) 828-3421. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
