Man Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges

A Reno man is in jail on multiple drug and firearm-related charges following a months-long investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in Washoe County, authorities said.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), detectives with the Northern Nevada Drug Task Force (NNDTF), assisted by the WCSO K-9 Unit and officers with Nevada Parole and Probation, arrested 53-year-old Dennis Ennio Murroni on Jan. 30.

Investigators say the arrest followed an extensive investigation into alleged methamphetamine trafficking in the area. Murroni was taken into custody and transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility, where they booked him on multiple felony charges.

The charges include possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a stolen firearm, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of trafficking a controlled substance involving 100 to more than 400 grams, two counts of selling a controlled substance, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
