Members of the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested a 28-year-old man in Sparks on Friday, January 30, on an outstanding felony warrant tied to a Nye County case.
According to authorities, a warrant was issued for Devon McMillin in October 2024 stemming from a charge of sexual assault of a minor under the age of 14.
The arrest followed an ongoing investigation by the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU). During an unrelated investigation, detectives learned that McMillin may have been hiding in the Reno-Sparks area.
Investigators later confirmed his location and took him into custody without incident. They booked McMillin into the Washoe County Detention Facility.
Officials say he will be transferred to Nye County to face the charges filed in that jurisdiction.
