The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the person whose body was found in south Reno late Wednesday morning as 63-year-old Shellie M. Vickers of Reno.
Vickers was pronounced dead at the scene near South Virginia Street and Huffaker Lane after authorities discovered her body around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The cause and manner of death remain pending further investigation, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Before the discovery, Vickers was missing. The Reno Police Department responded to Silverada Boulevard on Dec. 21 after receiving a report about a missing endangered person.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding her death.
