Reno, Nev. — A Reno man was found guilty of domestic battery after an incident inside a home that left a woman injured, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office reported. 52-year-old Santos Rendon-Laureanos was convicted following a jury trial.

Reno Police responded to a home on Riesling Loop in May 2025 after Rendon-Laureanos allegedly entered the residence and assaulted the woman. The 50-year-old victim, who had previously dated Rendon-Laureanos, had separated from him in February and was living with her three sons at her daughter’s home.

Prosecutors said Rendon-Laureanos went directly to the woman’s bedroom, attempted to take her phone, and struck her in the face, causing injuries. He then left the home and drove away.

Sentencing is Jan. 27 before Judge Barry Breslow. Rendon-Laureanos faces up to six years in the Nevada Department of Corrections and a fine of up to $5,000.
