Pedestrian Killed on I-80

ELKO COUNTY, Nev. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on I-80 on Dec. 23.

Nevada State Police say a gray Volkswagen Jetta was traveling eastbound in the right lane when it struck a pedestrian who had exited a vehicle involved in a separate on-ramp crash. Witnesses reported the pedestrian was yelling, jumping, and moving in the travel lane before being hit.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the individual’s identity.
